The Vision Council’s Eyecessorize Campaign to Release Latest Fashion Eyewear Trend Kit

Alexandria, VA (Feb. 27, 2019) – The Vision Council's Eyecessorize campaign will release its spring/summer 2019 trend kit to approximately 300 fashion, health and lifestyle editors nationwide in the upcoming week. The digital kit is designed to enhance the mission of the campaign to promote eyewear and sunwear as must-have fashion and lifestyle accessories. The online booklet will prominently feature a breadth of optical and sunwear product imagery from members of The Vision Council and select exhibitors of Vision Expo, as well as trend descriptions for men and women, alike. With the digital format, media is able to quickly and easily access the materials with the capability to download hi-res versions of the frames.

The trend kit is intended to promote member and exhibitor products by generating consumer media awareness in an effort to secure coverage in fashion, health and lifestyle outlets. The trend kit will be sent to editors from top-tier outlets such as Allure, Glamour, New York Post, GQ, Marie Claire, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, InStyle, People, Refinery29.com and Wall Street Journal, among many others. Placements garnered as a result of the trend kit will be added to Eyecessorize's overall media impressions number, which is used to gauge the campaign's yearly success.

Additionally, the trend kit encourages editors to reach out for more eye health information regarding ultraviolet (UV) eye protection, digital eye strain and annual eye exams, as well as to arrange an interview with The Vision Council's spokespeople.

As eyewear is not only a fashion accessory, but also a health necessity, The Vision Council encourages eyecare providers to talk with their patients about the frame and lens options available that best fit their vision and lifestyle needs.

The Vision Council is working to educate eyecare providers on the latest in fashion, clinical applications and business solutions with more than 300 hours of education at Vision Expo East, to take place March 21–24 in New York, NY. Attendees will have access to over 5,000 brands and the designers who drive the trends, as well as insight and ideas on how to source suppliers that meet your unique needs, set a pricing and promotion strategy, and build the inventory and experience that will keep your customers coming back for more.
