The Vision Council Unites 150 Industry Leaders at 2025 Lab Leadership Forum and Emerging Optical Leaders Retreat
Alexandria, VA – April 30, 2025 – The Vision Council, the leading organization representing the optical industry, proudly hosted the 2025 Lab Leadership Forum on April 24-25 at the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel. This exclusive event brought together 150 executives across the optical laboratory sector, fostering education, professional growth and peer connection.
Tailored specifically for The Vision Council’s optical laboratory members, the Lab Leadership Forum featured a robust agenda designed to spark collaboration and advance leadership in the industry. Attendees engaged in dynamic discussions, attended expert-led sessions, and participated in curated networking experiences aimed at strengthening the industry’s collective impact.
A standout highlight of the event was the presentation of the 2025 Good Fellow Award to Michael Vitale, Vice President of Membership, Government Relations & Technical Affairs at The Vision Council. Selected unanimously by his peers, Vitale was honored for his long-standing dedication, leadership, and advocacy on behalf of the optical community.
In conjunction with the Forum, The Vision Council also hosted the 2025 Emerging Optical Leaders Retreat, a professional development initiative designed for rising stars in the industry. Participants took part in leadership development workshops, toured a local optical lab, and engaged in exclusive networking events aimed at supporting their career trajectories.
