The Vision Council Opens Registration for 2027 Executive Summit

Alexandria, VA (October 13, 2026) – The Vision Council has opened registration for the 2027 Executive Summit, the association’s signature annual event for leaders across the vision community. The Summit will take place January 20–22, 2027, at La Cantera Resort & Spa, A Signia Hilton Resort, in San Antonio, Texas.

Executive Summit brings optical industry executives together for presentations by industry experts and keynote speakers, along with dedicated time to network and connect with peers. The program is designed to help attendees set the tone for a successful year ahead.
 

This year’s theme, Connections: The Skills Technology Cannot Replace, focuses on strengthening relationships and skill sets in a digital age. Keynote speakers and panelists will explore how businesses can make the most of new technology while keeping human connection at the center of their success.

“Technology is changing how every part of our industry works, but relationships are still what move it forward,” said Ashley Mills, CEO of The Vision Council. “Executive Summit gives leaders the time and space to strengthen those connections and plan for the year ahead with confidence.”

Program Highlights

The 2027 Executive Summit will feature keynote presentations on building lasting business relationships, artificial intelligence, and government and regulatory affairs, as well as an industry economic forecast for 2027 and a broader economic outlook. A full agenda and keynote speaker lineup will be announced later. 

Networking is central to the Summit experience. Before the program begins on Wednesday afternoon, attendees may choose an optional pre-event activity: golf on La Cantera’s 18-hole course, pickleball, or the Cantina Challenge, featuring Texas trivia, margaritas (or mocktails), and a guacamole-making lesson. Additional activities during the Summit include a networking nature walk and group yoga.

Registration and Pricing

The Vision Council welcomes members and nonmembers to attend Executive Summit, with special pricing for members:

  • Member: $1,500 Early Bird (on or before December 15, 2026); $1,700 afterward
  • Nonmember: $3,000
  • Spouse/Significant Other add-on (social events only): $750

Accommodations
