Regional Connection Series: Chicago

The Vision Council is heading to Chicago for the first stop of the Regional Connection Series! From guest speakers and networking opportunities to programming updates from The Vision Council’s team of experts, members are invited to attend the first regional meeting of 2022 taking place in Chicago, Illinois at The Drake Hotel on Wednesday, June 15 from noon-7 p.m. CST.
As an extension of The Vision Council’s theme for 2022, It’s All Connected, the upcoming Regional Connection Series event will offer members free access to keynote presentations originally scheduled for the Executive Summit. With executive-caliber content in an accessible location, the event is ideal for senior managers and above.
Members of The Vision Council are invited to register for free. Non-member pricing is $299. Registration closes on Friday, May 27.
The event will be in-person only.

The Regional Connection Series is a new event program designed to deliver networking opportunities, timely discussions and valuable business updates to members in various regions of the U.S. An extension of The Vision Council’s theme for 2022, It’s All Connected, the series focuses on sustainable growth and the connection between individual employee health and wellness, success of an organization and the advancement of the industry as a whole. The first regional event will take place in Chicago, IL on June 15.

Presented by Tony Byers, Diversity & Inclusion Professional Programs Director and Senior Extension Faculty for Cornell University, and Howard Purcell, OD, President and CEO of the New England College of Optometry
During the fireside chat, Tony Byers and Howard Purcell will review core Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) understandings, including why DE&I is important for businesses and what attendees can do to leverage diversity for growth. Additionally, Howard and Tony will discuss Tony’s book “The Multiplier Effect of Inclusion: How Diversity and Inclusion Advances Innovation and Drives Growth.”

Presented by Dean Browell, PhD
Understanding the pipeline of potential and return customers starts with their behavior and decision-making, not just the lagging indicators of sales data. In this discussion, Dean Browell, PhD, Chief Behavioral Officer for Feedback, will reveal qualitative and quantitative data that examines issues of trust and choice with eyecare providers as well as an examination of similar services in other industries.
