Upcoming Virtual Vision Series Webinar – Thursday, October 29: Establishing a Partnership in the Effective Management of Patients with Diabetic Retinal Disease

The Vision Council invites members to register now for the Virtual Vision Series webinar, Establishing a Partnership in the Effective Management of Patients with Diabetic Retinal Disease, taking place on Thursday, October 29 at 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST. Presented by Regeneron, the webinar will feature a discussion around early detection, monitoring and timely referral of patients with diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema.

The webinar will be hosted by Blake Cooper, MD, Retina Associates, and Paul Chous, MA, OD, FAAO, Diabetes Educator at Chous Eye Care Associates, and will examine the progressive nature and clinical consequences of diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema. Attendees will review the treatment landscape and the significant need for patient education surrounding diabetic eye disease. Additionally, the webinar will discuss the critical role optometrists play in identifying patients with diabetic retinopathy and will provide information on referring patients to retina specialists.
