Today, we spotlight The Vision Council’s Shows team, who oversee Vision Expo East and West.
Mitch Barkley – Vice President of Trade Shows and Events, Eyewear & Accessories Division Liaison
Mitch brings almost 30 years of optical industry experience to his role at The Vision Council. His great understanding of the needs and perspectives of member organizations helps drive the future of Vision Expo East and West as well as The Vision Council’s member shows and meetings. Previously, he served as CEO of Mondottica USA and CEO of Viva International Group. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Mitch enjoys following Terps basketball as well as skiing and playing bocce.

Angela Harar – Senior Director of Trade Shows
Angela has worked on the Vision Expo portfolio of shows for more than 15 years, providing perspective and market intelligence to establish the show’s strategic direction while ensuring projects reflect The Vision Council’s mission and priorities. She is an active member of the Major Association Trade Show Organizers (MATSO) group and previously served as its chairperson. A graduate of Drexel University, Angela dedicates herself to the balance of work and family.
