Learn More About the Emerging Optical Leaders Committee at Vision Expo West 2021
Prospective members of the Emerging Optical Leaders Committee (EOL) are invited to learn more about the committee during an upcoming EOL member meeting, set to take place on Wednesday, September 22 from 3:30–5pm PST during Vision Expo West 2021 in Las Vegas.

The meeting is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the Emerging Optical Leaders Committee, which exists to identify the next generation of optical industry leaders for The Vision Council, and meet with current members. If you are seeking an opportunity to expand your network within the industry, are eager to connect and learn from peers and industry veterans and are seeking to make an impact on the strength and success of The Vision Council, the Emerging Optical Leaders committee is for you!
The meeting will include an overview of what to expect as an EOL member for the remainder of 2021 and into 2022 and information on how to stay engaged and involved in the committee. Additionally, the meeting will feature a panel discussion about leadership with several industry leaders.
Additionally, the EOL Committee will also host a happy hour on Friday, September 24 from 4–6pm PST on the Show Floor at Vision Expo West. To RSVP for the happy hour, click here.

How to Join the EOL:
Members of the EOL must be nominated by a senior executive of your company. The Vision Council encourages members to nominate eligible candidates or to express your interest to colleagues at your company if you’d like to be nominated. To nominate a candidate, submit the online form here.
In order to join, candidates must be:
- 35 years of age or younger
- Actively employed with a member company of The Vision Council
- Nominated to join the committee by a senior executive of your member company
What participation in the Emerging Optical Leaders Committee Looks Like
The committee is responsible for creating leadership development opportunities and fostering networking opportunities for emerging optical executives within the EOL committee, while also sharing insights helpful to The Vision Council’s strategic goals.
Participation in EOL consists of in-person meetings, networking events, and supporting one of the three EOL Pillars throughout the year. As a member of the EOL committee, you are asked to attend two of three EOL meetings at minimum. The meetings will take place at either Executive Summit, Vision Expo East, or Vision Expo West. Throughout the year, you will also be invited to attend networking events both in-person and virtually as a member of the EOL.
