Standards and Regulations

The Vision Council is the leading voice in developing and refining ophthalmic standards, optical industry standards, and communications that assist the industry in serving the public. The Vision Council also serves as the Secretariat or administrator of the ASC Z80 standards committee.

Members of The Vision Council have access to strategic PR initiatives to promote the importance of eye health, eyewear and sunglass trends, and more, through The Vision Council Foundation, including programs and support materials for Healthy Vision Month (May), National Sunglasses Day (June 27), and World Sight Day (October 12). Educational resource toolkits are available for members to download and print.

Trade Shows and Industry Events

The Vision Council creates opportunities for strategic relationship-building through access to exclusive member programming at industry events like Vision Expo, the largest trade-only conference and exhibition in North America for the vision industry held twice a year, and The Vision Council’s Executive Summit, an annual, executive-level networking and leadership development event.
