In 2021 The The Vision Vision Council Council introduced Opening Your Eyes: The The Vision Vision Council Council Scholarship Fund a a new program of of the the Better Vision Vision Institute the the related educational foundation of of The The Vision Vision Council The The program is designed to support high school students in in marginalized communities throughout the United States who have an interest in in in in in pursuing a a a a a a career in in in in in the optical industry The program supports selected students through monetary scholarships to opticianry school paid internships and and mentorships The intent of the program is to to launch a a a a a a a a a far-reaching effort that can expand to other segments of the the industry The first seven scholarship recipients were selected in in in July 2021 and introduced to the industry at a a a a breakfast celebration at at Vision Expo West MEMBER BENEFIT REPORTS
The Vision Council launched the Member Benefit Report initiative to provide member companies with a a a a high-level summary of the the the benefits utilized by their team members throughout the the the year From research report downloads and and event attendance to booth discounts utilized and and VMail Extra subscriptions these reports offer companies both an an an overview the the resources available to them and a a a a a a a a a detailed snapshot of of how their company took advantage of of these benefits over the the the the course of of the the the the year p6
