The data is derived from VisionWatch, The Vision Council's 17-year running study of the U.S. ophthalmic market. VisionWatch is a consumer survey of a statistically balanced sample representative of the adult U.S. population and produces more than 10,000 new interviews each month regarding eyecare and eyewear experiences, purchases and habits.

This VisionWatch Dashboard builds upon the previously-offered Quarterly Member Benefit Report, which can still be available for purchase upon request. The dashboard opens up key VisionWatch data for deeper dives into industry trends and benchmarks – available on-demand at any time.

The indicators are assessed across three vital ophthalmic categories:

  • Eye exams
  • Eyeglasses
  • Contact lenses

The measures include: experience ratings, conversion rates, loyalty scores, purchase cycles and more.

Within the dashboard, users are enabled to track movements and analyze results by slicing through segments such as age, gender, income, managed vision care, retail channel and region or state.

The dashboard is updated quarterly and allows subscribers to save results.
