Tariff Update: Potential Cancelation of China 301 Duties in Phases

Earlier today the Chinese commerce ministry announced an agreement with the U.S. to cancel the China 301 tariffs in phases, without a set timeline for implementation. Neither the United States Trade Representative (USTR) or the White House have made an official statement regarding the possible agreement.

The Vision Council is optimistic that this could be an initial step in the rollback of this trade war, and will favor the removal of any and all tariffs impacting the optical industry.

The Vision Council will continue to monitor the situation and notify members of any changes.
